The KSI 8081-CSDHP 2x2 grid ceiling mount loudspeaker
is a high performance high fidelity loudspeaker designed for
today's digital environment. The 8081-CSDHP is the companion
to our 8081-CSHP
making it a perfect choice for high end installations which
demand superb sound quality with pleasing architectural appearance.
The 8081-CSDHP offers smooth midrange performance with
powerful bass response through the use of our cast frame 8"
bass mid transducer and optimally tuned passive radiator. Our
8" transducer features a lightweight mica filled cone gives
you exceptional voice and music intelligibility. High frequencies
are handled by our 25mm horn loaded dome tweeter. This high
end transducer provides very smooth upper octave response for
an "open" sound quality with wide dynamic range. Components
in a crossover should not be heard, so KSI engineers
designed a filter network using high tolerance devices which
are inaudible at the crossover frequency. This careful attention
to detail has led to a loudspeaker with outstanding clarity
and coherence along with very wide frequency response and high
power capacity. To further enhance the low frequency and midrange
performance of the 8081-CSDHP, we have included our anti-resonance
fabrication for the backbox enclosure. Our state of the art
CNC machinery gives us the ability to produce an incredibly
strong, vibration free and low weight enclosure, which greatly
improves sound quality over the entire spectrum. The front baffle
is precisely angled to render accurate imaging and spatial detail,
which assures faithful reproduction of dialogue and complex
digital audio when used in a left, center and right configuration
for video. Since the 8081-CSDHP only protrudes 10"
from the ceiling, its sure to stay out of the way.
